Xavier + Abigail’s Lake Heritage Micro Wedding

Get ready for a long and sappy post about how much I love this couple. One of my favorite parts about my job is meeting couples who I truly connect and then become friends with. Abigail reached out to me a year ago when she was searching for a wedding photographer. We met at Square Bean Coffee in Dillsburg, didn’t know that they closed early, took our food outside and sat burning in the hot sun for hours. Haha, we laughed over the worst nicknames people had created for us, Gail, Flabagail, Crabagail, etc. Not long after, we became friends!

Once COVID hit, everything changed for Xavier & Abigail. Wedding plans were all up in the air, and this took an emotional toll on them. Throughout the changes that the pandemic brought, we grew even closer. Though they couldn’t have the day they originally imagined, I wanted to make it as special as possible for them. Abigail and I spent hours planning every little detail of their intimate wedding from table decorations to timelines. With the help of her florist, Loca Flora, everything fell into place and the day couldn’t have been more perfect. Abigail picked everything out, and her eye for detail was incredible. They celebrated their special day with immediate family members. They got married at S t. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the reception was held at Abigail’s parent’s house. One of my favorite parts included the surprise boat parade that Abigail’s parent’s planned. They had so much support even though everyone still had to social distance themselves. Although Abigail & Xavier have been through so much together, their love for one another has only grown stronger through all of it. I am so excited for what the future holds for them both, and of course, our future double dates!
