I cannot believe how fast this year is flying! It’s probably been as busy for you as it has been for me. Surprisingly, I recently shot my first wedding of 2021, and, after not shooting for so long, I could barely contain my excitement. Let me just say, Kristen and Ryan know what they’re about. This gorgeous couple met in their college days and decided last year that COVID was not going to cancel their plans. They married in their living room a year ago and celebrated their one year Anniversary May 8th, 2021. With a year under their belt, this couple extended the celebration to even more friends and family for a wedding ceremony and reception that I cannot stop obsessing over.
Historic Shady Lane, a venue you might have seen in a prior wedding I’ve done, was even better than I remembered. The weather couldn’t make up its mind and right when the ceremony started, it sprinkled. But if COVID couldn’t stop Kristen & Ryan from celebrating their marriage, then a sprinkle of rain had no chance.
They truly took full advantage of the venue with their woodsy wedding theme. You can also tell how unique a couple is when they have a Wedding Cake made from a tower of pancakes. It was exciting to see that, finally, after a year of uncertainty and distancing, Kristen and Ryan finally got to see all of their loved ones together. I am so honored that they chose me to photograph their stunning day.
CONGRATS again, Kristen & Ryan!
Enjoy <3
