I started my career with my uncle’s camera and five beautiful sisters to take “model pictures” of at age 15. Now, I’m busy taking pictures of clients so it’s a treat when I have the chance to photograph my sisters. Julia and Paul are one of those couples that are naturally beautiful that you find yourself asking, how are we even related? And not only are they gorgeous, but they are kind too, it’s not fair to have both great qualities! haha
We camped in Joshua tree, California, for a few nights together. One morning I made them wake up early for a sunrise session. It was well WORTH IT! California lighting is magical. I found myself barely having to edit these images because the lighting was so clean! I always get nervous taking pictures of family members more than people I’ve never met before because I know that they have higher expectations and aren’t afraid to critique my work. Although photographing my family make me nervous, I love how straight forward they are. If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
My sister and her husband have been married a little over a year!
The four of us decided to take a trip to California in September to celebrate our anniversaries. My husband and I married September 1st, 2018 and, my sister and her husband married September 14th, 2019! What an adventure it was traveling together for a week! To be honest, Tyler and I thought that we’d get sick of them after being with them for a whole week and not having any of our own personal space, but we felt quite opposite. After we got home we found ourselves missing them. I’m so blessed to have sisters to travel with and I am excited for our future adventures together.
Happy One year together Julia and Paul, cheers to many more <3
