Last Friday I had the pleasure of photographing one of the most unique weddings at the Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster. This midsummer night’s dream themed wedding was full of flower crowns and rich colors – perfect for a late summer day.
Daphne and Andrew eloped last year in Las Vegas at the Little Vegas Chapel. They flew from L.A. to celebrate their marriage with their friends and family in small town Lancaster! I didn’t get to meet Daphne and Andrew in person until their wedding day. When I hugged Daphne, it felt like I have known her forever and I immediately clicked with both of them. Their love and candidness made the pictures so fun and I am in love with every single one of them!
There were so many meaningful parts to their wedding day. What stood out to me the most, was that Daphne wore her grandmother’s wedding dress that she made and wore for her own wedding in the 1950’s. As someone who loves to sew, I find it fascinating and so meaningful that she wore it. There was so much character to this wedding, I have never seen groom and groomsmen wear flower crowns before, but I got to say… they rocked them! I hope you enjoy looking through these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
Congrats again, Mr. & Mrs. MacKay!
